Breaking New Ground

This Photo is of the first hour of preparation on the Kenyan farm.
The Plough is an Ennor 56disc offset manufactured by Craig Ennor in Australia.
His company did a great job of manufacturing and containerising this plough.
Our next door smallholder farmers, some of whom use cows to plough with were very interested in looking over the fence.
I had some fellows today looking disbelievingly up the 3km dead straight runs.
Daniel from Sprayer Barn back in Australia was and still is a great help with the auto steer.
The Trimble RTK system is running well.
Another note on the plough, Craig added some nice big "Made in Australia" decals on the plough. Nice

  1. Wow what an amazing story & fascinating blog to follow - I'm so jealous & can't wait to plan our Kenyan holiday. Your stories bring back so many memories of our previous trips in Africa and it really is those life experiences that can't be taught. I hope your children realise the fantastic opportunity they've been given. Say a big hi to Annie & all the kids - sounds like they're taking it all in their stride (we wouldn't expect any less from Annie!) Wishing you all the very best & looking forward to following your journey through the blog. KW

  2. What's the average annual rainfall over there Stu? Is it a bit similar to Eulandool? Soil types similar? We have a million more questions but will save for later. What a great adventure. Keep away from those fierce lions. Trin & Jock Coupland
