I am letting the plants dry down to hay moisture while standing then cut it with a combine harvester with the machine opened up and let it fall in a windrow in the centre of our controlled traffic permanent tracks, then bale and pelletize. It is just a trial though. There is no grain as yet although if there is any then it will end up with the whole plant in the pellets.
What happens to the grain? Will you be cutting the head to release the acid (cyanic i guess)

Which variety of sweet forage sorghum is this and where did you buy the seeds from, please?
