Sorghum Progress
The sorghum is looking better all the time, which is good because some water logging early on in the crops life was not that helpful.
I did some head counts and there are between 50,000 to 90,000 heads per ha or 5 to 9 per square meter.
I would like to see a few more although better to be on the lighter side than heavier in sorghum.
This part of the crop is about 50% flowered.

Barley Progress,Just coming into head
This is Grace, John, Izzy and Wiz standing in our latest barley crop, we have some planted at 30kg ha of seed, some at 60kg of seed and some at 90kg ha of seed. There is a marked difference between the 30,60 and 90kg rates in terms of crop height, the photo is of some of the 90kg ha.
This crop is close to 60 days since germination.
The crop will have to finish on subsoil moisture most likely, there is a chance of some more rain although it is only a chance.
